Between May 30 and June 13, 2021, viewers with Ultra HD compatible reception equipment will be able to find this channel on the following channels:

Channel 444 on the FRANSAT package
Channel 28 on Bouygues Telecom BBox, with a compatible offer
40% of French households now have a UHD 4K TV, this technology is becoming the standard for television. France Télévisions, Bouygues Telecom, Eutelsat and their partners intend to support its development and provide viewers with ever-increasing number of UHD content.
How does it work ?
The UHD streams from the Philippe-Chatrier court routed to the FTV nodal are decoded by BBright, Harmonic and ATEME then made available in an ST 2110 environment. Within this, an “upmix” processing Linear Acoustic offers an immersive audio version to from native 5.1. The 5.1.4 output accompanied by French comments becomes the source for the audio encoding in Dolby Atmos with Dolby AC-4, operated by ATEME and Dolby. The S-ADM metadata generated in real time in the node informs the encoder about the various existing audio presentations on the event (French commentary objects, ambient sound only). At the end of the chain, ATEME encodes a final contribution at 120Mbps by subscribing to the 2110 environment, which is received by Cognacq-Jay Image and then provided to the broadcast control to ensure on-air continuity. This distribution includes the packaging, the management of live and reruns, as well as the provision of the streams in the format required by the various providers.
The ambience of the court will be offered by default to viewers until June 7 inclusive, and with commentaries in French from June 8 to 13. The features of Dialogue Enhancement, which allows you to adjust the level of the commentary in relation to the ambience of the court, offered by the AC-4 encoding, will be tested over the same period.
For this project, France Télévisions is a partner of:
