From Paris to New-York City, our coproductions and productions are on the move !

Let’s start our trip with NewImages (June 9-13), the XR & VR festival dedicated to innovative creative practices. For this year once again, NewImages offers a new way to discover its selection: it will be available at the Forum des Images in Paris, online via the XR3 exhibitions (at Cannes XR and Tribeca Festival) and also in 20 other places around the world.
The StoryLab will present no less than 3 coproductions and productions !
In the official selection first of all, Lady Sapiens, a VR creation, and La Petite Danseuse, a a lovely stroll through the Orsay Museum in augmented reality (AR) showcasing a selection of master pieces which will be presented to the public for the first time.
Then, Atomu, our VR adapation of a Kikuyu legend, which addresses the themes of gender fluidity and Africa, will be projected out of competition.

With Atomu, we embark on an escapade to Annecy’s mountains and lake! The multi-player VR experience, playable with Quest headsets, will be presented during the International Animated Film Festival from 14 – 19 June.

The next stop on our itinerary takes us to the French west coast,  where we meet at the 5th edition of Pixii, the International Digital Cultures Festival in La Rochelle. This year, the festival will take place in up to 5 of the city’s most famous places such as the Natural History museum. Lady Sapiens will be part of the official Sunny Side XR competition selection. We did say immersive experience, right ? 😊

The last stop on our journey takes us across the Atlantic ocean, to the prestigious Tribeca Festival in New-York City!
Awarded Best Digital Fiction Series at the Luchon Festival in 2020, République, an interactive film by Simon Bouisson and Olivier Demangel, is reserved the place of honour representing the pride of French audiovisual colours in the official selection to be presented!

Productions and coproductions placing technology at the heartr of entertainment and discovery

StoryLab’s immersive and interactive creations and co-creation are deeply rooted in contemporary issues. From the place of women through the ages, to gender fluidity or even the (re)discovery of works of art, are just some of the content on offer enabling people of all ages to enjoy an experience rich in emotions and knowledge.  Presentation, eall the Storylab devices and systems enable strong experience and increase knowledge for everyone.
Here is a sneak preview of our productions in the official selection :

République: An interactive and immersive film, which plunges the viewer into the emotions felt during an attack in the Parisian subway, through 3 parallel personal experiences via smartphone or Facebook Live format.
Live this strong experience right here and as a free download from Apple Store & Google Play.

Lady Sapiens: Born 38 0000 years ago, you are Lady Sapiens. A huntress takes you to her family to  meet the Shaman of her clan and bring your personal touch to a wall painting. Then, the clan offers to cut you a flint to make your own spear. Equipped with your weapon, you take part in a mammoth hunt. Despite commonly held beliefs, women were not confined to picking while the men were out hunting… Welcome to the real Paleolithic !
A Little Big Story, Ubisoft and FranceTV collaboration you can discover through a 360 experience in FranceTvLab.fr from end September.

Atomu: Atomu, places you at the cyclical center of a Kikuyu tribe legend, originally from Kenya, in which a man has the opportunity to become a woman and a woman can likewise become a man. This experience uses VR, dance, music and bodies to create a sacred space where everyone can be who they want to be and explore several parts of the soul.

La Petite Danseuse, When she gets out… : When she gets out… is an AR experience which takes us on a fantastic quest through a selection of artworks from the Musée d'Orsay to follow the adventures of Marie, the little dancer by Edgar Degas. Her mischievous silhouette wanders through works of art, drawings, sculptures, so many magical worlds created by artists, on which she casts a naive and enchanted gaze.
Scheduled for public release in October 2021.
