On January 18, 2021, France Télévisions launches its second season of the Idea Accelerator. On the strength of the lessons learned from the first season, which was held in a very special context and which highlighted the challenges of green innovation, France Télévisions is structuring and consolidating its intrapreneurship system.

This initiative supports an internal transformation movement by encouraging innovation and problem-solving skills among the employees of France Televisions.

It responds to several objectives: to make the company more agile, to foster collaboration within teams, to unlock everyone's creativity as well as to encourage them to take initiatives, to adopt autonomy and a ‘test and learn’ approach. For recruitment purpose, it also reinforces the attractivity of the company toward targeted candidates.

A new partner: France Médias Monde

This unprecedented partnership launched in collaboration with other public broadcasting companies in France (Radio France) and abroad (RTBF), welcomes a new member in 2021: France Médias Monde.

A new opportunity to strengthen our bonds!

A new common challenge

In 2021, the projects will cover the topic “Creating links”, links between France Televisions employees, links with our audience, links between territories or between generations, the call for project deals with engagement.

A new common thematic which makes completely sense during this challenging sanitary context.

Season 2021 important dates

The call for projects will be opened from January 18th to February 19th for all group employees. They will be able, if they volunteer, to submit an idea on the dedicated platform.

As of February 22th, employees will be invited to vote for the 10 projects they deem to be the most promising.

On the 24th March, these 10 projects will be presented in front of a grand jury. Afterwards, 3 winning projects we be chosen. These 3 projects will beneficiate from a dedicated support during an acceleration phasis of 3 months between April and June.

For this second season, France Televisions wishes to reinforce the projects of the selected teams by making them accompanied by an expert coaching during all the adventure. The coaching team will be in charge of offering content and tools to allow projects leaders to transform their idea into a prototype, tested by targeted users and presented in a “demo day” at the end of June.

Thanks to this initiative France Télévisions, in constant evolution, offers the possibility to its collaborators to be proactive on these fundamental transformation and adaptation topics.

Closed captions are produced everyday for the French public news channel, from 6 to 9 AM and from 9 PM to midnight. In addition, on France TV website and applications, franceinfo will receive automatic subtitling thanks to an Artificial Intelligence during the rest of the day.
