"Hacktion! "Season 1, episode 1 - Intrapreneurship at France Télévisions

The genesis of the project

First of all, let's quickly go back over the genesis of this system: for several months, we researched the subject of intrapreneurship, we met with companies that had already set up such programs, such as La Poste, RATP or Danone, we met with intrapreneurs, at Airbus or Valrhona, and we went to meet the employees of our company France Télévisions.

Through interviews, we validated the relevance of our intuition, the need for change internally, on ways of working and releasing energies. We have also surrounded ourselves with a dozen employees, with varied profiles, from different backgrounds within the group, in order to build together an intrapreneurial system adapted to France Télévisions and our corporate culture.

"Hacktion! "a system designed by and for France Télévisions employees

Thus was born "Hacktion! "was born, a system that aims to make each of France Télévisions' employees a vector of transformation for the company.

Indeed, we believe that each and everyone has already wanted, at least once, to propose an idea for the company. A bright, daring idea that would participate, to its measure, in the transformation of the company...and that is exactly the ambition of this device!

With this system, transforming ideas into concrete actions becomes possible (as long as they are in line with the company's strategic axes). Promising, engaging, useful, innovative, high added value ideas, ideas that improve, advance, facilitate, from simple to the most complex ideas.

What are the objectives?

To promote innovation and problem solving internally, to make the company more agile, to encourage cross-functionality between teams, to free the energies and creativity of each individual, to encourage and facilitate initiative, autonomy, trial and error logic.

Final test before launching automatic subtitling of franceinfo

Closed captions are produced everyday for the French public news channel, from 6 to 9 AM and from 9 PM to midnight. In addition, on France TV website and applications, franceinfo will receive automatic subtitling thanks to an Artificial Intelligence during the rest of the day.

We'll keep it, tweak it, or
remake it—you decide!
