Once again this year, France Télévisions' MediaLab de l'Information et l'Innovation Numérique proposed a new format for the special edition on the 14th of July : throughout the show, five sequences, live from Place de la Concorde, presented the latest French military equipment thanks to a totally unprecedented augmented reality technology. Using consumer equipment, we have developed an ultra-mobile device that enables virtual image sequences filmed by a moving camera, live, and outdoors: a feat that until now has been reserved for organizations and budgets that are very heavy to implement.
On the occasion of the European elections, a "virtual" touch screen appeared (or not, by the way :-) ) on the set. Live, the journalist Guillaume Daret manipulated in space a series of graphic data to decipher political information in real time.
