"In a few hours, it will be my turn to realize my childhood dream, to climb into the capsule, placed at the top of the same rocket that has been taking men into space for 50 years: the Soyuz rocket. "Thomas Pesquet

France Télévisions and La Vingt-Cinquième Heure have developed an immersive 360° virtual reality experience to accompany Thomas Pesquet on his journey and experience with him his training and mission in the ISS, the International Space Station. This project is proposed jointly by the New Writing and Innovation departments of France Télévisions.

Relive Thomas Pesquet's space odyssey thanks to a free application, made from never-before-seen images shot by Thomas Pesquet, that lets you relive his 360° journey in virtual reality.

The application is available on Google's PlayStore:Thomas Pesquet VR ⬇️et on the AppStore: In the skin of Thomas Pesquet ⬇️

To take full advantage of it, it is nevertheless necessary to have a cardbord, such as the one from Google for example, or an RV helmet.

The VR application "Dans la peau de Thomas Pesquet" won the prize for Best Immersive Creation (360°, VR, Augmented Reality) at the SMA Awards 2018.

France Télévisions teamed up with its audience to co-create an innovative experience

For the first time, on March 14, 2018, around fifty viewers from France Télévisions took part in the beta-testing of the 360° application "Thomas Pesquet: in the skin of an astronaut".

Viewers sat down with the crew at the top of the rocket in the Soyuz capsule to experience the launch, journey and arrival in the station. Then Thomas Pesquet took them on a tour of the station... with a few surprises, ending with a spacewalk and experiencing the sensations that astronauts experience physically and psychologically.

During this test, the participants answered a questionnaire whose results can be taken into account to adjust the films, and shared with you on this platform.
